Susan started her college career in LongBeach, California as art major, but soon became sidetracked to theater arts. Around that time she met her husband. After the babies started arriving she continued to take art classes whenpossible, but only really came back to art when she moved to Oregon. A friend talked her into attending ‘The Palette Puddlers’ in Cannon Beach. After a class with Shirley Dahlston with other Puddlers, she became a member of Trail's End Art Association where she has been a TEAA member for around 20 years.

Susan is showing at the Riversea Gallery in Astoria, and with the Puddlers three times a year. She is also works on commission, the most recent a large project in Cannon Beach.
