Lynda Campbell- Featured Artist July 2009

Lynda has been married for 45 years to a supportive husband. They have two daughters. She is a proud alumni of the U of O where she graduated with a BA in Art/Art Education. Her first job was designing and teaching in a brand new art room in Springfield, Oregon. She and her husband moved to Seaside in 1967 where she too a job teaching art at Seaside High School. 

After taking time off to have her children, she returned to teaching in 1979 at Broadway Middle School in Seaside.
     Lynda had her own radio show on KSWB for several years called Lynda’s Beachbag where she talked about any and all subjects with varied  guests.  She also volunteered for the Miss Oregon Pageant, Beachcomber’s Festival and other activities.
     She and her husband travel and her most special art experience was sitting where Van Gogh sat when he painted the cathedral in Auver.
     She didn’t have time for doing art until this stage in her life. Kathy Moberg kept at her until she started working with pastels and joined TEAA.
     Lynda expressed her appreciation for  the  award.  and  told members that  she feels her favorite quote below embodies her good experience with TEAA, “Everything we bring to the table enriches us all.”
