Kitty Paino- Featured Artist February 2009

Kitty Paino is a native Oregonian who moved to Seaside when she was nine years old.Her first art experience was at a TEAA art camp under Leona Evans, one of

Trail's End's founding members. TEAA member Lynda Campbell was her high school art teacher . After attending Clatsop Community College, she earned a Bachelor's degree in Art Education from Oregon State University

After earning two Master degrees in education (art and community education) from the University of Oregon, she worked at Clatsop Community College in a variety of capacities and eventually became the Dean of Continuing Education. Current retirees enjoy the learning in retirement program-ENCORE- developed by her department and sponsored by Clatsop Community College. Now as a retiree she writes grants for non-profits, creates websites, and can paint whenever she wishes. Kitty
won Best of Show in the 59th annual August Trail's End Juried Competition in 2009. She designed and now runs the Trail's End Website and creates the monthly newsletter
